Harbor Church is a new church community that’s starting in Papillion on Sunday, February 1, 2026. We’re a community of Bible-believing, Jesus-loving Christians who are committed to the gospel and passionate about Sarpy County. We’ve spent the past five months praying and preparing for God to do a new work in our communities, and we’d love to have you join us. We know that attending a new church for the first time can be intimidating, so we’ve put together a brief list of things you might like to know before you arrive.

What kind of church is Harbor?

Harbor is a non-denominational Christian church that is rooted in Reformed, Protestant theology, and committed to historic, biblical Christianity. We might be a new church, but we’re not trying to start a new religion. In fact, in a world filled with anxiety and insecurity, we believe that the best way to serve Sarpy County is to remain faithful to the objective, time-tested truth of God’s Word. So, our goal isn’t to start something new, it’s to renew the contemporary church in the historic faith that is preserved in the Scriptures and passed down through the ages.

What are Harbor’s beliefs?

We adhere to the Gospel Coalition Confessional Statement as well as the Nicene and Apostles’ Creeds. You can learn more about our beliefs, vision, and values by clicking here.

What can I expect on Sunday?

We gather for worship at 10am at Liberty Middle School (10820 Wittmus Dr. Papillion, NE) on the north side of 370 across from Papio South. Coffee and donuts will be available at 9:30am. Our gatherings include singing, Scripture reading, and a message from the Bible. We also use creeds and confessions to profess our faith together, and we celebrate the Lord’s Supper at the end of every message. Members of our team will be ready to greet you when you arrive, and happy to assist you in finding your away around. So, if you see someone with a Harbor nametag, don’t be afraid to ask for help. They’re here to make sure your first experience of Harbor is a good one.

Where do I go when I arrive?

Liberty has two parking lots, a main lot on the front side of the building (to the east) and an overflow lot on the back side of the building (to the west). We’ve asked our members to park in the back lot to be hospitable, but there should be room available in both lots. Feel free to park in one of the stalls, but if it starts to fill up, you’re welcome to park along the curb as well. You can enter the building from either lot. Connection Team members will be present at both doors to welcome you when you arrive, along with Security Team members to ensure your safety.

Are kids welcome at Harbor?

Yes, we love kids! Your kids are welcome to sit with you during the gathering, or children’s ministry is available for kids ages 0-3rd grade. Check in and drop off open at 9:45am. You can sign your kids up when you arrive, or sign them up now for faster check in when you arrive.

Do you have anything for upper elementary, middle, or high school students?

Not yet, but plans are in the works. In the meantime, we invite you to bring older children to the gathering with you. Coloring sheets are available in the back of the room, and there’s even a page for older kids to take notes as they follow along with the sermon.

What else should I know?

Whether you’re a lifelong Christian or exploring Christianity for the first time, you’re welcome at Harbor. We started this church community to give people who are questioning Christianity an opportunity to consider Christ’s claims in community with sympathetic Christ-followers who are eager to share their faith with anyone who’s interested. So, it doesn’t really matter where you’re at in your journey. If you’re interested in discovering what Christianity is all about, there’s a place for you at Harbor.

You’re welcome to take as much time as you need, but for the most meaningful experience, we invite you to get involved in our church community. To get started, you can fill out a Connect Card online, or wait until Sunday, and someone from our team will help you complete a card in person. Either way, we’re glad you’re considering Harbor, and we look forward to meeting you soon!
